Job summary

CalvertHealth seeks a Registered Nurse to assess, plan and deliver nursing care in accordance with department policies. The role requires an active Maryland nursing license, 6 months to 1 year of experience, and completion of a nursing education program.

Specialty certification is preferred and telemetry/chemotherapy training is expected within specified timelines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Diploma Nursing Program or an AA or higher.
• Unexpired Maryland Board of Nursing license or a compact state board of nursing.
• RN Certification in a specialty is preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year related nursing experience.
• Stroke Training within 30 days of hire.
• Chemotherapy program relevant to inpatient care, if applicable.
• Demonstrated professionalism in communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills including Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care to meet patient needs following department policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to promote quality care and safety.
• Maintain unit-specific and hospital competencies and complete mandatory trainings as required.
