Job summary

Catholic Health's St. Joseph Hospital in New York is seeking a CDU RN to deliver high-caliber care on the Clinical Decision Unit/Observation Unit, including telemetry patients, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will collaborate with physicians, RNs and support staff to optimize patient outcomes, advocate for patients and families, and ensure safety, education and compassionate care throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Passion for Telemetry Nursing.
• 1+ year RN experience in Telemetry (required).
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree (strongly preferred).
• Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State.
• BLS for all RN’s; ACLS for PACU/ED/S Unit/critical care areas; PALS for ED and PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and oversee care for CDU/Telemetry patients.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for patients and families through safety, emotional support, and education.
