Job summary

Openwork Health is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to monitor and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions in a hospital setting. You will interpret telemetry data, respond to rhythm changes, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient care.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, with telemetry or acute care experience, BLS mandatory and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in telemetry or acute care settings preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be preferred or required depending on facility.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and teamwork orientation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions and fast-paced environments.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with acute or chronic cardiac conditions using telemetry equipment.
• Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms and vital sign changes.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly in electronic health records.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and families regarding patient status and care plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, patient education, and discharge planning.
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telemetry best practices and continuing education requirements.
