Job summary

In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and engineering support to the NSWC Corona Telemetry Team out of St. Julien’s Creek Annex, in Virginia.**Responsibilities*** Maintain, fabricate and repair radio frequency (RF) electronic components and computer hardware* Install and remove telemetry systems onboard US Navy ships, Foreign Navy ships, and various installations throughout the world* Provide support to lead engineers and technicians during telemetry events* Assist in the collection, processing and archiving of telemetry data* Assist in the modernization, optimization, maintenance and design of telemetry systems* Fabricate a variety of cables, mounts, and equipment**Required Skills*** 4 Years experience working with RF* Must have at a minimum a BS degree in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience* Excellent writing and verbal communication in English* Must be able to lift 50 pounds* Must be a U.S. Citizen* Must be willing to travel and ride ships underway* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance* Must be willing to work on site in Little Creek, VA**Desired Skills*** US Navy Knowledge (ET, FC)This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.
