Job summary

Emerus is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in telemetry/ICU settings. You will follow physician orders, protect patient privacy, comply with infection control, and perform lab work per policy.

You will participate in admissions, transfers, and coordinate equipment for procedures. Qualified candidates hold an associate degree in nursing or a diploma, current PA RN licensure without sanctions, 2+ years ICU/Telemetry experience, and

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required.
• 2+ years full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or 2+ years combination experience in related healthcare positions, required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required; PALS strongly preferred (ENPC certification from ENA may be substituted for PALS certification).
• Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication.
• Pennsylvania RN's: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age-specific nursing care by applying advanced specialty clinical nursing knowledge and skills.
• Follow physician's orders in the delivery of nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
• Adhere to required infection control, isolation procedures and aseptic techniques in the delivery of patient care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations.
• Perform admission, discharge and transfer procedures.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for various diagnostic or treatment procedures in the specialty service area; assist others with procedures or treatments.
• Handle care in accordance with legal, hospital/facility, departmental policies and procedures, and established standards of nursing care and practice.

Position Overview

• Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required

Basic Qualifications
