Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a PCP/Monitor Technician for telemetry, to closely monitor patients’ EKG rhythms and notify caregivers of arrhythmias. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and rapid response to changing cardiac conditions.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or GED, BLS, phlebotomy and 12-lead EKG certification, and must complete the NHA EKG Technician exam within one year of hire. This is a full-time on-site position at NYP Westchester Hospital.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy and 12 lead EKG certification required.
• Completion of NHA Certified EKG technician exam within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EKG rhythms for telemetry patients.
• Observe patient status and alert nurses/physicians of changes.
• Document cardiac activity and correlate with predefined parameters.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Director to ensure patient safety.
