Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. You will work within organizational policies and coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff to maintain high standards of practice.

Requirements include nursing program graduate, at least 1 year telemetry experience with ability to read EKG strips, current Georgia RN license or multistate

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• At least 1 year of telemetry experience; ability to read EKG strips.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License; BLS and ACLS certification required.
• For PRN positions: one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced certification in specialty area, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care.
• Coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care within organizational policies.
