Job summary

Saint Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Telemetry Nurse to join our patient care team on Tower 5, a 30-bed medical telemetry unit. You will care for patients with cardiology, liver and kidney conditions, and other medical needs, applying evidence-based nursing in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform assessments, deliver skilled procedures, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support rapid recovery and continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN License with the state of Arizona.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• One year recent acute care RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
• Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
• Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
• Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
• Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.
