Job summary

AHMC Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Monitor Tech/Unit Secretary to assist in nursing station operations, perform clerical duties and monitor cardiac rhythms. The role supports patient safety, care quality and unit communications, reporting to the Nursing Unit Director and Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities include observing telemetry, interpreting rhythms, documenting patient data, and ensuring proper equipment maintenance, with emphasis on professional patient interactions and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum Experience: One year acute care experience as a Monitor Technician preferred.
• Required Certification/Registration: Current BLS and demonstrated competency/successful completion of Monitor Technician course required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and alert RN to significant rhythm changes.
• Observe oscilloscopes, identify appropriate leads.
• Interpret rhythms and report dysrhythmias.
• Document and charge telemetry services.
• Maintain supplies and equipment, coordinate with Biomedical Engineering.
• Provide professional customer service and maintain confidentiality.
