Prime Healthcare Services is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician for a part-time role at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.

The position focuses on continuous observation and interpretation of patient telemetry data to detect early warning signs and support timely medical intervention. Responsibilities include monitoring ECG rhythms, recognizing patterns, communicating with clinical staff, and maintaining telemetry equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate due within 30 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification upon hire.
• At least 6 months healthcare or Monitor Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret heart rhythms (ECG/EKG) from telemetry displays.
• Identify normal/abnormal patterns and document findings.
• Notify nurses/physicians of significant changes and escalate urgent issues.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot telemetry equipment and electrodes.
• Ensure proper signal transmission and resolve connectivity issues.
• Record telemetry readings in the medical record and generate rhythm strips.
