Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course required upon hire.
• EKG/Monitor Tech certification or licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients.
• Detects dysrhythmias and promptly notifies appropriate personnel.
• Operates and maintains monitoring system to full capacity; ensures safe functioning of telemetry equipment.
