Vibra Hospital of Northern California in Redding, CA is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Tech to join our team. You will monitor telemetry readings, collaborate with clinical staff, and ensure timely response to changes in patient status.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent), telemetry exposure, and strong analytical and organizational skills, with a preference for Medical Terminology training and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• One year healthcare experience with telemetry monitoring preferred; prior telemetry reading also preferred.

We are seeking a Telemetry Monitor Tech to join our team!

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for continual monitoring of telemetry units and promptly alerting appropriate personnel of significant changes in readings.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• One (1) year of experience in healthcare with previous telemetry monitoring experience and/or equivalent education in telemetry monitoring and reading preferred.
• Completion of Medical Terminology course preferred.
• Previous Telemetry Monitoring experience and/or equivalent education in telemetry monitoring and reading required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred. Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $23.00 to $26.43/hr
