Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Telemetry Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise observability platforms across large cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and monitoring tools, plus SRE practices, SLOs, and incident response.

This is a full-time, direct W2 role with 100% remote work within the U.S. and a salary range of $100k to $150k, with 6+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Observability.
• Strong experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Datadog/New Relic/Splunk.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with distributed tracing, structured logging, Linux, containers, and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, SLOs, and incident management.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern observability tools, SRE practices, and monitoring solutions for large-scale cloud environments.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Observability.
• Strong experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry , and Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with distributed tracing, structured logging, Linux, containers, and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, SLOs, and incident management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Thanos, Mimir, Cortex, Loki, or Tempo.
• Familiarity with eBPF-based observability tools.
• Experience with observability cost optimization.
• Contributions to OpenTelemetry or other observability open-source projects.
• Experience supporting regulated environments.
