Qualifications

• Must have a current Michigan Registered Nurse License.
• Must have at least two years recent telemetry/step-down experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Must be able to pass the CSREKG Test with 80% or better.
• BSN preferred.
• Current ACLS Certification.
• Cardiology/telemetry/ICU/ICU stepdown experience.
• Demonstrates communication and problem solving skills within all levels of the health care team.
• Experience floating to multiple units.
• Preceptor experience.
• CCRN or PCCN certification.
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere utilizing delegation skills.
• Takes initiative in seeking professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe nursing care to patients in seven adult units requiring cardiac monitoring.
• Determine functional status and initiate appropriate action; report significant changes.
• Administer medications and assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Educate patients and families about disease and therapy.
• Operate and monitor patient care equipment; document status.
• Formulate and evaluate individualized care plans and nursing care.
