Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is hiring a Patient Care Technician for a day shift. You will perform treatments and provide patient care tailored to age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs, while staying prepared for emergencies and adhering to safety protocols.

Required are a high school grad or equivalent and BLS CPR; CNA or CPCT/A is also required. Prior bedside care in acute settings is preferred, with options for career development and ongoing skill upgrades.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification [Required]
• CNA or CPCT/A certification [Required]

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure with patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity and culture.
• Responds to clinical emergencies and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Follows isolation guidelines, uses PPE correctly, and enforces safety regulations.
• Shows willingness to learn and upgrade clinical skills.
