EquipmentShare is hiring a Telematics Installer in Columbus, OH to install and service telematics devices on vehicles and equipment. The role involves testing, ignition work, and CAN-network wiring, with travel to client sites. Overtime and on-call compensation are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certificate preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills with tools.
• Hard-working, eager to learn, and mechanically inclined.
• Experience in related fields (electrician, HVAC, car audio) is a plus.
• Own tools; some specialty tools provided.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair the telematics system and devices on vehicles and equipment.
• Operate machinery during installation for testing.
• Replace ignition systems and integrate communication with telematics.
• Handle diverse installation scenarios, including CAN network wiring.
• Identify issues, analyze data, and propose solutions.
• Travel to client sites or rental yards within the region.
• Represent EquipmentShare on site and in the field.
• Occasionally work outside regular hours; overtime possible.
