Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer - Telematics to build scalable backend systems that process real-time telemetry data from millions of devices. You will design data pipelines, storage, and analytics to enable enterprise-grade telematics solutions.

You will work with Go, C++, Python, and cloud platforms in a microservices environment, using Kafka, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies to deliver robust cloud services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend software development experience with Go/C++/Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of data processing and streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark, MQTT, NATS).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and time-series data.
• API design with RESTful services and microservices architecture.
• DevOps practices including CI/CD and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable telematics backend systems for real-time data streaming.
• Architect data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
• Develop cloud storage and analytics for monitoring and history.
• Implement device-to-device communication and peer-to-peer networking.
• Collaborate with data scientists, DevOps, product managers, and frontend teams.
• Integrate ML/analytics for predictive maintenance and risk assessment.
