Job summary

Correctional Healthcare Partners in San Diego seeks a Rapid Response Provider to serve as the frontline clinical safety net for incarcerated patients. You will assess, treat, and stabilize patients via telehealth during a 24-hour shift, coordinating with on-site nursing staff to ensure timely care.

The role requires an active NP license, DEA registration, CPR/BLS, and strong communication and EHR skills. You will handle documentation and urgent visits, with hourly compensation of $90–$105 and

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in the state(s) where you will be working.
• Current DEA registration.
• Valid CPR/BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or correctional healthcare is preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• You are the sole rapid response provider during your assigned 24-hour periods.
• Maintain availability via Microsoft Teams during your full assigned shift.
• Nurses will contact you via Teams; respond promptly or escalation follows based on acuity.
• Emergencies require prompt response; routine requests are handled within a reasonable window.
• During daytime hours, you may conduct telehealth visits or document between calls.
