Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed clinicians. The role supports telehealth encounters and collaborates with multiple clinical departments at the patient site.

Responsibilities include patient rounds, safety, and equipment support; flexibility to assist with virtual safety tasks and telehealth tech as needed. High school diploma and BLS required upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Understanding of communication with diverse patients and families.
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care activities under licensed supervision.
• Maintain a safe patient care environment.
• Assist in maintaining supplies and equipment for unit operations.
• Conduct patient rounds and respond promptly to calls.
• Possibly serve as virtual safety associate as needed.
• Assist under provider direction with telehealth exams and tech.
