Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center in Ridgeland, MS seeks a Nurse Practitioner - Telehealth to manage and provide patient medical care in collaboration with a physician, and in accordance with UMMC guidelines.

The role requires graduate NP program, Mississippi APRN license or eligible status, and PMHNP certification. You will perform assessments, order tests, develop care plans, educate patients, and mentor trainees in a telehealth setting.

Qualifications

• Must have graduate nursing program and national NP certification.
• Must hold Mississippi APRN license or be eligible for license.
• Must obtain PMHNP certification prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes health assessments (patient histories and physical exams).
• Orders, collects, and interprets relevant laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
• Formulates and implements comprehensive patient care plans based on patient assessments.
• Ensures complete documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and care provided.
• Serves as educator and mentor to graduate nursing students and new hire providers.
• Functions as expert/resource to nursing staff in area of specialty.
