Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, FL is seeking an Evening shift Telecommunications Operator to work on-site and support the central switchboard. The role requires 32 scheduled hours per week with availability on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, plus additional weekday hours as needed.

You will answer and route calls, communicate codes and alerts, and use paging systems to reach hospital personnel.

Qualifications

  • 1 year customer service experience or related field.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).

Summary:

Position: On-site
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 32 hours
Availability: Required to work Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with additional weekday hours as needed.

Operates the organization's central switchboard to answer and route incoming calls and to communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements.

Responsibilities:

Communicates codes, alerts, drills and other announcements according to established policies and procedures, including disaster management plans.

Operates beeper and paging system to contact to hospital personnel and code team.

Utilizes desk directories, on-call lists, reference guides and other associated reference materials.
