Job summary

CognoStrategy, LLC in Washington, DC seeks a senior technical authority to lead enterprise telecommunications infrastructure modernization initiatives supporting federal programs.

You will provide strategic guidance for structured cabling, fiber, data centers, wireless LAN, DAS, cybersecurity integration, infrastructure planning, commissioning, and implementation, and you will mentor program managers, engineers, and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (10+ years in telecom/IT infra preferred).
• Relevant industry certifications preferred.
• Experience providing technical leadership to programs and teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for Federal telecom modernization initiatives.
• Provide strategic guidance on cabling, fiber, data centers, WLAN, DAS, and cybersecurity integration.
• Support engineering reviews, risk assessments, standards compliance, and customer consulting.

Functional Responsibility

Serves as the senior technical authority for enterprise Telecommunications infrastructure modernization initiatives supporting Federal telecommunications programs.

Provides strategic guidance for structured cabling systems, optical fiber infrastructure, data center modernization, wireless LAN, Distributed Antenna Systems, telecommunications engineering, cybersecurity integration, infrastructure planning, commissioning, acceptance testing, and enterprise technology implementation.

Supports engineering reviews, design validation, technical risk assessments, standards compliance, customer consulting, and advanced troubleshooting while providing technical leadership to Program Managers, engineers, and implementation teams.

Minimum Education / General Experience / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with ten or more years supporting enterprise telecommunications or IT infrastructure programs. Relevant industry certifications preferred.
