Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer in Texas to design and support critical infrastructure for space missions. You will work on fiber and copper network cabling, and ensure telecommunication systems are reliable and effective.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or BICSI RCDD certification, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience. The role entails working closely with teams to troubleshoot issues and manage project contracts while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • BICSI RCDD certification or bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering and a strong understanding of medium or high voltage power systems.
  • Familiarity with National Electric Code, National Fire Protection Association, and International Building Code.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for the design and operation of fiberoptic and copper-supported network infrastructure.
  • Coordinate project activities with construction and production teams.
  • Troubleshoot electrical system problems and conduct arc flash studies.
  • Manage construction contracts and oversee project execution.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain systems.

Skills

BICSI RCDD certification or equivalent
2+ years experience in industrial electrical engineering
Design of commercial telecommunication systems
Knowledge of low voltage applications
Experience with critical power infrastructure
Ability to troubleshoot equipment

Education
