Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Estimator to support telecom, low-voltage, structured cabling, fiber, and construction-related projects. This role will prepare estimates, review drawings and specs, solicit subcontractor pricing, and evaluate risks to help win and execute projects.

The position offers a fully onsite office with minimal travel, and opportunities to grow with a leading technology infrastructure contractor across commercial and government markets.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of estimating experience.
• Construction estimating experience required.
• Telecom, low-voltage, structured cabling, or fiber experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete project estimates and bid packages.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs; identify risks and pricing opportunities.
• Support bid strategy and proposal preparation.
• Maintain bid tracking and estimating records.
• Participate in project handoffs to operations teams.
• Collaborate with project managers and field leadership.
