Piper Companies is seeking a Telecom Network Engineer - Routing to support a leading telecommunications organization. The role focuses on configuring, troubleshooting, and validating telecom routing systems within a carrier-grade network, with a hybrid work arrangement in Richardson, TX.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network engineering, hands-on Cisco/Juniper Router experience, and deep knowledge of IP networking, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, and SIP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in network engineering or related infra.
• Hands-on with routers, Cisco/Juniper preferred.
• Deep understanding of IP networking concepts including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing and switching.
• Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, and MPLS.
• Exposure to SIP/VoIP environments is highly preferred.
• Experience performing network testing, validation, and implementation activities.

Responsibilities

The ideal Telecom Network Engineer - Routing will play a key role in configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, and validating telecom routing systems while working alongside experienced network professionals supporting mission-critical services in a hybrid role in Richardson, TX.

Responsibilities of the Telecom Network Engineer - Routing:

• Configure, support, and maintain carrier-grade routing infrastructure within a telecommunications network environment.
• Troubleshoot complex routing, network, and connectivity issues across production environments.
• Test, validate, and implement network configurations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Support router deployments and ongoing operational activities.
• Analyze network performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

• Strong knowledge of IP networking concepts including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching.
• Experience troubleshooting complex routing and network performance issues.
• Hands-on experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, and MPLS technologies.
• Exposure to SIP and telecommunications voice network environments is highly preferred.
• Experience performing network testing, validation, and implementation activities.

Compensation for the Telecom Network Engineer - Routing includes:

• Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 annually depending on experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
