Job summary

Centerline is expanding across New England and seeks a proven Telecom Lineman/Foreman to lead a new crew from Fairfield, ME. The role involves running teams on aerial and underground telecom projects, with hands-on field work and leadership responsibilities.

You will mentor crew members, ensure safety and quality, and maintain fleet/tools while coordinating with project plans and maps. Willingness to travel and OT are required, with company-paid OSHA-10 target within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a lead telecom lineman with proven leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to pass and maintain DOT Physical.
• Procure OSHA-10 Certification within 90 days of hire; company paid.
• Willingness to travel on overnights as needed; hotels and per diem provided.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

Job description

Centerline is expanding across New England, and we’re hiring a proven Telecom Lineman/Foreman to lead one of our new crews. This newly created role, based in Fairfield, ME, offers the opportunity to run your own team on aerial and underground telecom projects. Centerline is growing — and we’re hiring.

What You Will Do

• Lead & Manage Crews: Run small jobs with multiple crews, providing clear direction, hands-on leadership, and accountability.
• Plan & Execute Projects: Complete aerial and underground telecom construction, including strand building, lashing, pole transfers, figure-8 fiber handling, and equipment setup.
• Ensure Quality & Compliance: Maintain high standards for safety, accuracy, and efficiency; complete all project documentation correctly and on time.
• Hands-On Field Work: Climb poles, hook and rig equipment, operate lashers, and assemble materials (e.g., snow shoes).
• Develop Your Team: Mentor and train crew members to expand their skills and prepare them for advancement.
• Maintain Fleet & Tools: Stock trucks daily, perform pre-trip inspections (oil check, VIR), and keep vehicles organized and clean.
• Technical Skills: Able to read and interpret maps/designs, execute aerial and underground construction, and operate standard industry tools.
• Reliability: Strong attendance, punctuality, and work ethic.

What You Will Need

• Experience: 3+ years as a lead telecom lineman with proven leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing

Work Environment

• Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 80 lbs continuously
• Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and very loud noise.
