Job summary

Gudenkauf, a Congruex Company, is seeking a Ground Hand to join our telecom construction team. The Groundman performs various manual tasks, assists Lineman, loads materials, helps with traffic control, and prepares materials for installation. On-the-job training offers rapid opportunity for advancement and pay.

This is an entry-level position in the progression toward becoming a Telecommunications Lineman. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the GRIT values to support a strong construction

Qualifications

• Must have a positive can-do attitude and openness to trying new ways.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to take direction from supervisors and work well in a team.
• Clear communication using radios, verbal instructions, and hand signals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lineman with loading, unloading, layout, and preparing tools and materials.
• Perform physical labor such as cleaning trucks, digging ditches, tamping, cutting brush, and moving materials.
• Assist with traffic control and safe operations at job sites.
• Handle physically demanding construction duties.
• Drive company vehicle to and from job sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
