Job summary

Team Fishel is hiring a GIS Technician to support Telecommunication projects in our Stafford, VA office. The role requires producing high-quality maps from designs, identifying spatial relationships, and communicating specifications with the design and right of way teams.

The ideal candidate will have GIS knowledge, ESRI ArcGIS Pro/Online experience, and strong analytical skills. Knowledge of Python or databases is a plus; residence in the U.S. is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems and basic principles.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with open source data collection for geospatial data.
• Ability to read and write technical documentation.
• Knowledge of file storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete GIS tasks to client specifications.
• Research methods for data analysis and apply industry standards.
• Organize GIS data for easy access.
• Maintain accuracy across data sources and maps.
• Work within budget and schedule constraints.
• Review blueprints, plans, and customer docs in multiple formats.
• Provide technical support for coordination and projection.
• Maintain job log with status history.
