Aecon Utilities is seeking a Construction Inspector to observe, verify, and document telecommunications construction activities in the field across North America. You will inspect against drawings, permits, and quality standards, maintaining clear records and reporting deficiencies to the Construction Manager.

Located in the Spokane area with travel to project sites, you will collaborate with crews, subcontractors, and clients while following safety requirements and using standard field tools

Competenze

• Experience in telecommunications, fiber, underground utility, or related construction.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, permits, and locates.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Mansioni

• Perform routine field inspections of telecom construction to verify conformance with drawings, permits, and quality requirements.
• Observe underground and aerial construction activities and traffic-control conditions.
• Review drawings, locates, permits, and directional-drilling information during inspections.
• Verify installed quantities, locations, progress, and site conditions with reports and photos.
• Identify deficiencies, deviations, or safety concerns and document them objectively.
• Communicate inspection findings to the Construction Manager and support corrective actions.
• Maintain complete inspection records for QA, reporting, and closeout.
• Document field conditions and quantities to support project reviews and potential changes.
• Monitor site safety and escalate issues per escalation procedures.
• Provide timely information to support scheduling, material planning, and billing.
