TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator in Marion, IA to operate drilling equipment for installing underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. You will determine bore paths, verify utilities, and maintain bore schedules, all while upholding safety and quality standards.

This role requires CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain, legal work status in the US, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with drilling equipment, including bore path planning.
• All offers contingent on passing Background check, Drug Test, and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes
• All Offers contingent on passing Background check, Drug Test, and DOT physical

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
