Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. You will operate drill equipment, determine bore paths, and protect existing utilities in various weather conditions.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to work safely on construction sites. We offer weekly pay, PTO, healthcare, and other benefits to support your career development.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control drill equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize mud mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain bore schedule.
• Site set‑up, clean‑up and equipment maintenance.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set‑up, clean‑up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
