MasTec Communications Group seeks a Construction Manager in Dayton, OH to oversee all telecom construction phases, lead field crews, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery while upholding safety and high quality. You will coordinate with management and clients, review drawings and schedules, and drive winning outcomes.

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Construction Management.
• 3-5 years of experience managing telecom construction projects.
• Knowledge of telecom construction including Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading.
• You troubleshoot field issues as they arise.
• Previous site management experience with clients and suppliers.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Project; able to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of telecom construction projects.
• Lead a team of construction professionals in a safety-minded environment.
• Provide a high level of customer service for escalated issues.
• Direct multiple crews and their job site activities.
• Review progress against schedule deadlines.
• Manage projects to completion on time and within budget.
• Schedule crews, identify start times, review timelines, and supervise performance.
• Participate in hiring and maintain employment paperwork.
• Promote safe work practices on site.
• Prepare and interpret drawings, maps, blueprints, contracts, and specs.
• Identify and resolve blueprint issues prior to and during construction.
• Supervise subcontractors and related billing.
• Participate in meetings with senior management, peers and customers.
• Assist in estimating and bidding projects, contract negotiations, and change orders.
• Perform other duties as required.
