Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for a 100% virtual role within the Department of Psychiatry. You will help develop and lead an interdisciplinary team in evaluating and treating hospitalized and ER patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.

Ideal candidates have Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry and must be licensed in Texas, with residency in Texas or other allowed

Qualifications

• Must hold a medical license to practice in Texas.
• Board-certified in Psychiatry with training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry preferred.
• Eligible for licensure in Texas and reside in Texas or specified states.
• Experience in hospital or ER settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote psychiatric evaluation and management for hospitalized and emergency department patients.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams in evaluation, treatment planning, and care coordination.
• Collaborate with hospital services to optimize patient outcomes in a virtual setting.

Tele-Psychiatrist - Houston Methodist Hospital

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is looking for a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join our Department of Psychiatry. The ideal physician will help develop and lead an interdisciplinary team in the evaluation and treatment of hospitalized and emergency room patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses. This position will be 100% virtual and follows a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule. Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry is strongly desired. Candidates must be licensed in Texas and reside in Texas, Washington, Florida, Louisiana or Georgia.
