Job summary

The Boys & Girls of the Twin Cities (BGCTC) is seeking a Teen Specialist in Saint Paul to drive teen engagement in Club programs with a focus on post-secondary education and career readiness. You will ensure each teen stays on track to graduate and develop a solid plan for the future.

The role emphasizes program leadership, service, youth voice, and healthy development, with opportunities to build partnerships and mentor teens in a vibrant community setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in youth development, education, sociology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in community-based youth development programs.
• Knowledge of development and administration of youth programs, staff supervision, event coordination and community partnership.
• Strong partnership development and relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter for outreach.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the Teen Pathways Program curriculum focusing on youth development goals.
• Oversee service, mentoring, service learning, and accreditation activities.
• Coordinate leadership groups, Youth of the Year, and council/committee leadership.
• Facilitate Youth Voice activities: events, public speaking and advocacy.
• Promote holistic wellness, conflict resolution, and goal setting within the program.
• Support school success with academic goal setting and progression tracking.
