Job summary

The City of Louisville is hiring a Teen Librarian in a 32 hour per week role with pro-rated benefits. The Teen Librarian supports youth services with references, reader’s advisory, instruction, programming, and outreach to teens and schools, ensuring inclusive services aligned with community-centered service.

Collaborating across departments and acting as Person In Charge on a rotating basis, the role requires strong community engagement and knowledge of YA materials; a Colorado driver's license

Responsibilities

• Designs, plans, and delivers engaging programs for teens and tweens, including cultural, educational, recreational, and technology-focused opportunities.
• Collaborates across Youth Services and Cultural Services to support coordinated, intergenerational, and teen-focused programming and initiatives.
• Develops and maintains strong partnerships with schools, youth-serving organizations, and community partners to expand outreach and increase engagement with teens and tweens.
• Represents the Library at schools, community events, offsite programs, and outreach visits.
• Coordinates program logistics, including scheduling, room reservations, equipment, supplies, volunteer support, and event setup.
