Qualifications

• Three years of related work experience.
• 21+ years old with Virginia driver’s license and 5-year clean driving record.
• Provide DMV record on appointment and annually.
• Driver Education Training Program totaling 96 clock hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student progress for behind-the-wheel instruction.
• Schedule students in behind-the-wheel training by age and classroom grade.
• Develop lesson plans for safety and vehicle operation (auto and manual).
• Provide multi-car range and on-street instruction.
• Evaluate progress and issue Driver Education Certificates after road test.
• Ensure maintenance of Driver Education vehicles.
• Participate in events and attend Partners for Safe Teen Driving meetings.
• Educate parents on graduated licensing requirements.
