Job summary

Union League Boys & Girls Clubs seeks a Youth Development Specialist - Teen Specialist to deliver daily programs for club youth while upholding the mission. The role includes direct supervision, safety oversight, and fostering character, academic success, and healthy lifestyles.

You will implement designs from coordinators, assist with materials, and help coordinate special events and field trips. 18+ and college involvement required, with opportunities to contribute across multiple activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles related to youth development.
• Ability to plan effectively and lead groups.
• Understanding group dynamics and discipline.
• Knowledge of the population of youth served.
• Must be 18 or older and enrolled in college or have some college.

Responsibilities

• Executes programs designed by the coordinators to youth.
• Ensures members are safe and engaged in activities.
• Encourages emotional, social, and educational growth of members.
• Direct supervision of club youth members.
• Follows program design of the coordinators.
• Assists coordinators in preparing materials for the day.
• Keeps program areas cleaned and organized after activities.
• Performs data entry as needed.
• Provides staff supervision as required.
• Chaperones field trips when applicable.
• Moves materials between club and school.
