Job summary

Avante Health Solutions in Concord, NC is hiring a TEE Probe Repair Technician to diagnose and restore advanced ultrasound transducers. The role emphasizes hands-on repair, testing, and documentation to return probes to patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience working with small parts.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits.
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work through issues with limited supervision.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and willingness to learn new systems.
• A team-player attitude and an eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming TEE probes for mechanical, electrical, and imaging defects.
• Run functional tests with OEM and third-party equipment to pinpoint root cause, including array faults, cable damage, bending section issues, and leakage current failures.
• Repair or replace arrays, lenses, housing seals, and insertion tube components.
• Rework bending section mechanisms, control wires, and articulation components.
• Repair cables and connectors, including strain relief and shielding.
• Perform leakage current, dielectric, and isolation testing to confirm patient safety (IEC 60601-1).
• Verify final function and image quality before releasing each probe.
• Document findings, repairs, test results, and parts usage, and complete QA sign-off.
• Partner with the intake and quoting team to validate defect assessments.
• Flag recurring failure patterns to Engineering and QA, and elevate unusual defects.
• Help build troubleshooting guides, flowcharts, and training materials for newer technicians.
• Follow biohazard, ESD, and safety protocols, along with FDA and internal quality requirements.

Transesophageal (TEE) probes let cardiologists see the heart in remarkable detail, and they’re among the most complex transducers in medicine. Electronics, imaging arrays, and precision mechanical articulation all come together in one device. As a TEE Probe Repair Technician at Avante Health Solutions, you’ll diagnose and restore these probes so they can return safely to patient care. What You’ll Do

The Work Environment

This is primarily a seated bench role in a repair lab. It requires fine finger dexterity for most of the shift, close‑range vision (corrected is fine), and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs. Probes arrive from clinical use, so you’ll follow biohazard handling protocols. Occasional travel may be required, along with an insurable driving record.
