Veterinary Specialties Referral Center in Pattersonville, NY is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The shift options include 8:00 AM–6:30 PM or 12:00 PM–10:00 PM, four days per week, with a focus on assisting veterinarians in surgeries and patient care.

You will work closely with the clinic staff to ensure optimal health and recovery for our animal patients, including monitoring anesthesia, handling diagnostics, and providing client discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Licensed NY State Veterinary Technician required.
• Experience assisting veterinarians with surgeries and procedures preferred.
• Strong knowledge of animal care and handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with surgeries and procedures.
• Coordinate animal care and monitor recovery.
• Draw blood and place catheters with minimal discomfort.
• Monitor anesthesia and record drug and anesthesia logs.
• Perform radiology and CT diagnostics as needed.
• Monitor post-surgical patients and administer medications.
• Prepare medications and discharge instructions for clients.
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian Technician to join the team at our successful clinic. Schedule is 8AM to 6:30PM or 12PM to 10PM /4 Days per week.
Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• A licensed NY State Veterinary Technician who loves working with animals
• An independent worker
• Applies knowledge of drawing blood, and catheter placement minimizing patient discomfort.
• Monitoring animals during surgery, keeping accurate records in surgery including drug sheet and anesthesia log.
• Performs necessary diagnostics such as radiology and CT.
• Monitor post-surgical patients
• Take vital signs and administer medications
• Fill medications, complete at-home dosage and discharge instructions for clients
• Maintain and order inventory items

Qualifications

• 2 Year Minimum of Veterinary Technician Experience
• Knowledge of animal care and handling
