Associates In Ophthalmology LLC in Livingston, NJ is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The role involves conducting initial patient assessments, taking medical histories, and performing measurements such as intraocular pressure, auto-refraction, and visual acuity testing.
You will also train patients on contact lenses, assist with in-office procedures, educate patients on eye health, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team! As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will be responsible for conducting the initial assessment of a patient, including listening to their complaints or concerns, obtaining a relevant medical history, and measuring intraocular pressures, auto-refraction, visual acuities, visual field testing, fundus photography, corneal topography, A-scan testing and more. Technicians also do contact lens trainings with patients, as well as ordering/stock of contact lenses. You will also assist as needed with procedures done by the doctor in-office, help educate patients on eye health and best practices, and maintain an organized, clean work environment at all times. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and is extremely organized. A kind, compassionate team player with a positive attitude and desire to learn is a plus!
Job is full time, Monday through Friday, 8:45AM- 5 PM as well as select Saturdays. This position is NOT for the summer only, we are looking for a reliable FULL TIME employee.
