Orangetheory Fitness - Thrive Venture Group is seeking a hands-on Facilities Technician to keep company-owned studios safe, clean, and fully functional across Columbus, OH, WV and Perrysburg OH. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment service with a fast-paced, field-based approach.

Qualifications

• Patching and painting skills relevant to facility upkeep.
• Plumbing knowledge for routine repairs and maintenance.

• Mechanical systems familiarity.
• General construction understanding for fixes and installations.
• Experience maintaining and repairing fitness equipment preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot technology and equipment issues.
• Comfort using digital platforms to track maintenance and communicate.
• Ability to work independently across multiple locations with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Visit company-owned locations to assess repairs, safety, and overall facility condition (interior and exterior).
• Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections on building systems and fitness equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, including after-hours when needed.
• Execute emergency and non-emergency repairs in a timely manner.
• Manage and track facilities-related expenses within budgets.
• Prepare facilities for seasonal and weather changes; address issues proactively.
• Familiarize with equipment warranties to ensure proper service and compliance.
• Collaborate with Facilities Director to keep studios at optimal operating level.
• Utilize internal platforms to ensure repairs, communication, and documentation are organized.
• Respond to emails, calls, and messages in a timely manner.
• Adapt to shifting studio needs in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.
• Safely lift and move equipment up to 100 lbs.

Role Overview

The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring all Thrive Venture Group-owned Orangetheory Fitness studios operate safely, efficiently, and at the highest standard of cleanliness and functionality. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and field-based, requiring strong technical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of a multi-unit fitness organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular visits to all company-owned locations to assess repairs, safety, and overall facility condition (interior and exterior)
• Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections on building systems and fitness equipment
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, including after-hours situations as needed
• Execute emergency and non-emergency repairs in a timely manner.
• Manage and track facilities-related expenses while working within established budgets
• Prepare facilities for seasonal and weather-related changes; proactively identify and address potential issues
• Maintain familiarity with equipment and facility warranty specifications to ensure proper service and compliance
• Collaborate closely with the Facilities Director to ensure all studios are operating at an optimal level.
• Utilize internal platforms and systems to ensure repairs, communication, and documentation are organized, accurate, and timely
• Communicate clearly and consistently; respond to emails, calls, and messages in a timely manner
• Adapt to shifting studio needs and priorities in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment
• Safely lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 100 lbs

Skills & Experience
