Tim Sign & Lighting Service Inc is seeking a skilled Sign Installer to join our Meriden, CT team. This hands-on role involves installing and maintaining diverse signage and lighting systems, offering variety and a focus on quality craftsmanship.

You will work on-site with customers, using lifts and equipped vehicles, ensuring precise, safe installations. Ideal candidates have experience in sign installation or electrical work, are comfortable working at heights, and can read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in sign installation or electrical work is preferred.
• Comfortable with working at heights and using ladders/scaffolding.
• Ability to read blueprints and installation diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial signs and lighting systems at customer locations.
• Operate aerial lifts, bucket trucks, and other equipment to access elevated sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and diagrams for installations.
• Perform electrical connections and wiring for illuminated signage.
• Ensure installations meet safety codes, regulations, and quality standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers on-site during installations and service calls.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper working condition.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial signs and lighting systems at customer locations
• Operate aerial lifts, bucket trucks, and other equipment to access elevated installation sites
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and installation diagrams
• Perform electrical connections and wiring for illuminated signage
• Ensure all installations meet safety codes, regulations, and quality standards
• Communicate professionally with customers on-site during installations and service calls
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper working condition

Requirements:

• Prior experience in sign installation, electrical work, or a related trade preferred
• Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lift equipment
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to perform wiring tasks safely
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL a plus
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with good communication skills
