Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory seeks a Technology Manager to support technology transfer and IP management within the IP team. You will review disclosures, help shape patent strategies, and oversee protection of valuable assets for licenses, collaborations, and government use.

The role requires broad technical understanding, willingness to learn IP practices, and ability to navigate a federal lab environment with professionalism and persistence.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze new technology disclosure submissions across lab areas.
• Support development of patent strategies and prosecution aligned with priorities.
• Manage protection of non-patentable assets including open-source licensing.
• Perform IP ownership diligence, ensuring compliance with statutes and contracts.
• Initiate prior art and market assessments for portfolio technologies.
• Promote internal awareness of IP assets for collaborations across LL.
• Serve as a resource on technology transfer pathways via the TTO.
