Job summary

Lateral Link in San Francisco or Silicon Valley is seeking a mid-level associate (3–6 years) for its nationally recognized technology transactions practice. You will work directly with partners who run the firm's global tech sector on the IP and technology side of multibillion-dollar M&A as well as standalone licensing, commercial, and AI deals.

• California bar admission or eligibility.

Nearly every headline deal coming out of Northern California right now — AI, data centers, semiconductors, consumer platforms — turns on the technology transactions lawyers in the room.

A Global 100 firm with a nationally ranked technology transactions practice is hiring a mid-level associate (3–6 years) for its Northern California offices — San Francisco or Silicon Valley. Cravath scale — $270K–$410K depending on class year.

You'd work directly with the partners who run the firm's global technology sector from the Bay Area, on the IP and technology side of multibillion-dollar M&A as well as standalone licensing, commercial, and AI deals. Mid-levels in this group run their own workstreams and deal directly with clients.

The work includes:

• IP and technology aspects of tech M&A — diligence, licensing, and transition services agreements
• AI development, licensing, and commercialization agreements, including data rights
• SaaS, cloud, outsourcing, and strategic collaboration agreements
• Open source, data privacy (CCPA/GDPR), and technology regulatory counseling
