Work Schedule/FLSA Status: 12 Month / 261 duty days / Exempt
Salary Schedule: Specialist 3 - Salary grade S04 92C starting at $75,902.17. Salary credit may be awarded for applicable experience.
Position Purpose: The Technology Trainer is assigned to work with administrators, teachers, and staff in approximately one-third of the elementary buildings in the Omaha Public Schools. As a trainer, this staff member will be instrumental in working directly with teachers to assist them with instructional delivery using technology, training staff on new District-approved applications, and troubleshooting basic technology issues. In this role, the successful candidate will work with building leadership to provide training and workshops that meet staff needs. These may be 1:1, small-group, or large-group sessions.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel, as designated by the Superintendent.
This position may require the ability to use basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, and scanners. Must always comply with OPS’s guidelines for equipment use.
Limited local travel will be required.
This position is treated as a classified full-time exempt position. The terms of your employment will be governed by applicable state laws regulating employment in a Nebraska public school and Board of Education policies, as those laws and policies may change from time to time. If your position is represented by a collective bargaining representative, then your employment will also be governed by a negotiated agreement between OPS and that collective bargaining representative.
