Spark Academy | Heritage Community is seeking a Technology Teacher to provide engaging instruction in a project-based learning environment. This position focuses on supporting neurodiverse students and encourages creativity and problem-solving.

As part of the academic staff, you will develop hands-on technology lessons and foster strong relationships with students. The role demands adaptability and a commitment to making learning meaningful, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Teaching license or endorsement preferred, willingness to obtain one.
• Experience with technology education and special education is highly desirable.
• Experience working with neurodiverse students is a plus.
• Must be at least 20 years old.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach engaging, hands-on technology lessons.
• Adapt instruction to support students with level 1 autism.
• Create projects that build problem-solving and technical skills.
• Incorporate technology into project-based learning experiences.
• Collaborate with the Special Education Coordinator on IEP goals.
• Create a structured and supportive classroom environment.
• Partner with team members to support students' development.
• Encourage students to explore technology and develop confidence.
• Maintain records of student performance and behavior.
• Participate in faculty meetings and school-related activities.
• Supervise students during class to ensure their safety.
• Model professionalism and uphold Heritage's mission.
