Wiley|Wilson, a 100% employee-owned architecture-engineering firm, seeks a Senior Technology Systems Designer to lead telecom, structured cabling, AV, and security system design across building projects. You will mentor staff, coordinate with clients and other disciplines, and deliver complete Revit designs with quality and schedule discipline.

The role requires 8+ years in Technology Systems for buildings, RCDD certification, and a background in AEC. U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing Technology Systems for buildings (telecom, cabling, AV, security).
• Experience in the AEC industry is required.
• BICSI RCDD certification is required; AVIXA CTS is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Technology Systems Designer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of telecommunications and structured cabling, audiovisual, and electronic security systems for a variety of building projects. You will work directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams, provide technical expertise throughout the design process, and help mentor and develop less-experienced members of our Technology Systems team.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with 8+ years of experience designing Technology Systems for buildings, including telecommunications and structured cabling, audiovisual, and electronic security systems. Experience working in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is required.

Candidates should be proficient in Autodesk Revit, including model setup, linking, navigation, troubleshooting, and developing Technology Systems designs through completion. A BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is required. AVIXA CTS certification is a plus.

This senior role requires demonstrated experience leading projects, managing complex projects, overseeing junior team members day to day activities, coordinating directly with clients and other design disciplines, and mentoring less-experienced staff. Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and time-management skills are important, as is the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Federal government project experience is a plus. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain a security clearance.
