Zusammenfassung

Syska Hennessy Group is seeking a Technology Systems Designer in our Hamilton, NJ office to support ICT system design across a range of projects, including critical facilities and corporate interiors. You will collaborate with senior engineers and clients, using CAD/BIM, perform calculations, and develop system layouts for diverse spaces with a focus on AVI and ICT trades.

Ideal candidates have 3.5–7 years in IT/Telecom related design, strong CAD/Revit skills, and familiarity with LEED

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree from accredited University in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Technology.
• 3.5+ to 7 years of relevant experience focusing: IT/Telecom.
• Experience with the MS Office 360 including: Word, Outlook, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Bluebeam and other business software desirable.
• Demonstrates ability to use CAD/Revit for system layout and spatial coordination of production of detailed drawings generally REQUIRED.
• Exhibits basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles to our building designs.
• Possesses ability to pass the relevant ICT certifications.Possesses basic understanding of proper system selection.

Aufgaben

• Conducts field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinate new work; assists Senior team members in due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis and other technical reports and drawings.
• Coordinates with other disciplines and works in close contact with the entire design team.
• Creates basic designs under the direction of the senior team members, perform CAD/BIM drafting, equipment selections, systems calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes to begin to understand architectural engineering design and documentation.
• Cross trained in multidisciplinary designs and support design production of drawings, calculations, research, reports, analysis, and specification.
• Has a basic understanding of network connectivity, LAN, WAN fundamentals and other ICT trades fundamentals.
• Has a basic understanding of Wi-Fi infrastructure, WAPs, controllers.
• Learns and adheres drawing organization and company standards.
• Supports the design and engineering efforts of systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement and system upgrades for a wide variety of projects and project types
• Takes ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the work assignments.
• Assists senior team member in the on-going determination of project scheduling requirements, resource requirements and project budgets.
• Assists the senior team member in processing RFI's, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.
• Begins to establish system application, design, and operational parameters / sequences under the direction of the senior team member.
• Creates basic designs with little supervision of the senior staff and creates medium to complex designs under direction of senior staff.
• Develop specifications, system narratives and system layouts for a variety of projects and project sizes.
• Participates in / Ensure / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others.
• Performs construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspections reports.
• Represents Syska Hennessy Group and works in close contact with and effectively interact with the internal design team as well as external clients and consultants (including owners, builders, developers, program managers, architects, vendors, etc.)
