Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Strategic Sourcing & Procurement professional to lead tech supplier engagements, from RFPs through contract negotiations, with emphasis on risk management and cost optimization.

You will collaborate with Technology, Legal, Third-Party Risk, and Finance to drive favorable terms, oversee vendor performance, and ensure regulatory compliance across major IT spend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience with procurement, contracts, and vendor management processes.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing events and manage RFIs/RFPs/RFQs for tech products and services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, and professional services agreements.
• Coordinate with Legal and risk teams to mitigate contractual risks.
• Develop executive-ready cost analyses and savings opportunities.
