NWU is seeking an internship candidate to work with diverse clients across industries, gaining hands-on experience with business owners and executives. You will assist in designing and optimizing controls using business processes, accounting, and IT knowledge, and engage with leadership on tech risk strategies.

You'll collaborate with a Performance Advisor, support SOX/IT controls testing, and contribute to internal audits over ERP systems and IT security, building documentation and risk

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a BA/BS degree with expected completion by December 2027 or June 2028.
• Majors in Accounting and/or related degrees, or Information Systems and/or related degrees.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations with reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism.
• Certification or progress toward CPA, CISA, or CIA preferred but not required.

• Create internal control documentation to support client engagements.
• Engage with client leadership on strategies to anticipate emerging technology risks.
• Participate in projects such as SOX/regulatory compliance engagements, SOC reporting, IT controls testing for financial audits, IT security reviews, and internal ERP audits.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Assist clients in designing and optimizing controls using knowledge of business processes, accounting, and information technologies.
• Identify internal control deficiencies, evaluate risks, and advise clients accordingly.
• Create internal control documentation to support client engagements.
• Engage with client leadership on strategies to anticipate emerging technology risks.
• Participate in projects such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)/regulatory compliance engagements, System and Controls (SOC) reporting, IT controls testing for financial audits, technical IT controls reviews, and internal audits over ERP systems and IT security.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

• Pursuing at least a B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university, with expected completion by December 2027 or June 2028.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $30 to $36.
